MARCH 3RD

Hello all!!

Well, the tour with Phil Joel, Earthsuit, Luna Halo, La Rue and Katy Hudson is long gone! We miss them already! It's such a weird thing being so involved with an awesome group of people that you become such good friends over such a short period of time, and then it's over! Life's so strange sometimes. (Strangely normal, perhaps?! OK, OK, bad joke!) And just tonight we did our last concert (our own mini-tour), so we head back to England on Monday!!

But once again, a HUUUUUUGE thank you to all of you who came out to the shows! It was so good to meet all of you! Everywhere we went we ran into such lovely people! We were so blessed by your support, encouraging words, and excitement about what God's doing through V*enna and in your lives! Thank you massively for coming out to see the show! We hope you were touched!

[From Sharnessa:] Also, thank you immensely to my very cool hometown of Longview, WA, for showing such incredible support when we were there! I was so touched and blown away, and so honored to get to perform there! While on stage I was really overwhelmed by the whole thing! There's no place like home!

The day we got back from the tour we had the privilege of going to the Newsboys/Audio Adrenaline show (with Superchick opening) at the hockey arena in Nashville. That was such a blast! We were close to the stage, so Phil was always looking at us smiling and getting us into it! As silly as this sounds, we were so proud of him! It was so cool to see him in a different element - in action with the Newsboys, after seeing him on his own (of course with his own band - awesome guys!) for a few weeks! Man! They put on an awesome show! They had rotating drums, which were just incredible! Toby from DCTalk came out to do a bit of a rap with Newsboys, and Steven Curtis Chapman did some jammin' with Audio A! But even more exciting than that was how they all put Jesus at the total center! It ROCKED!

Things have slowed down a little, but with all the traveling we've been doing it doesn't really feel like it! A fun little side story here! The other day while on the road we stopped at a Denny's Diner and Sue (Ritter, who's traveling with us as Artist Support), and Peter (our dancer), started dancing rock & roll with the waitresses!!!! It was a 50's-style Denny's, so the waitresses do some little grooves every once in a while to the jukebox tunes, so we all had a good laugh!

On Sunday we did a concert in Treaty, IN, and it was sooo cool! A big thanks to you guys and girls from White’s and the youth groups! You are such great kids (young adults!), and were a rad audience! So thank you to all who came and the organizers (Melinda and CO!) who helped make it a fun night to remember! We're really looking forward to hearing what God did there!

We then traveled to Owensboro, KY to hang out with the kids at Daviess Middle School, and to do a presentation at Owensboro Middle School, where the concert happened later that evening. We were treated so well by the organizers (John and Joanne and co!) at this event, we felt totally spoilt and totally refreshed by the end of the event. It was wonderful. A plea was made for people to step out of their comfort zones and make a commitment to Christ to which 7 people (and more, they're still coming!!) made a response!!! This was the first real opportunity we've had on this tour to make that plea so it was soooo exciting!! We were totally on Cloud 9 after the concert because the organizers bought 48 LITRES OF ICE-CREAM!!! Our dancer Peter was in heaven, he's an ice-cream lover through & through! We didn't get through it all, though we wish!! But to the teens (and above and below!) who came out to the show at the middle school in Kentucky, thank you sooo very much! You were such a cool crowd! We felt so welcome there!

Just tonight we did our last concert on this tour at a resort called Ridgecrest, in North Carolina! We arrived here to a beautiful blue sky and relatively warm weather! It absolutely lovely! The concert was us along with Andrew Peterson (a fellow Essential-ite!), as well as a fab drama group called Images, and a great worship leader from Scotland called Martin. We kicked of this weekend event, which is for jr. high and high schoolers, and there are college age-ers and adults as well! When we arrived we found out that the theme for the weekend is getting intimate with Jesus and going deeper with Him, and we got soooo excited because that's an area that is so majorly on our hearts to challenge youth and teens in! (And anyone else who wants to listen!) So we were totally pumped, and it was an incredible evening! We had such a blast with everybody there, and were treated so brilliantly! So a BIG ol' thank you to all of you who came to the show! You were seriously such a rad group! (Very loud, too!) And to the organizers (Mike and co!), thank you immensely for having us! It was an honour to be a part of your retreat! Grow, grow, grow this weekend, guys!

Well, guys and dolls (inspired from the 50's restaurant!), take good care of yourselves! Remember to keep your eyes on Jesus! Awesome things happen when He's the center of your life and focus!!!! He sooo adores you and is waiting to take you places you never dreamt of! Later, all!

Ever So Sincerely,

Lucy and Sharnessa :-)

PS - The new devotional is up now, so check it out!!!
Awesome scripture to think about! Luke 19:26b, "but to those who use well what they are given, even more will be given." And the Message version says, "Risk your life and get more than you ever dreamed of"
Think about it, guys!
